About

     Mary's photographic note cards draw their inspiration from the enchanting and ever-changing landscapes of the Berkshires and surrounding areas of the Northeast, often intersecting botanical subjects with vernacular and well-worn architectural details ~ be it the peeling paint of an old barn, a charming country cottage, or the weathered patina of coastal New England.

     Her line of handmade fabric note cards showcasing beautifully patterned textiles are a delight to the senses, and her nature-inspired birch bark cards speak to the nature lover in all of us.  Mary's line of nostalgic greeting cards featuring vintage imagery and ephemera evoke a love for the past that has been enlivened with modern-day touches.  

     A graduate of Parsons School of Design's Decorative Arts History program, Mary has received both academic honors as well as honors in artistic achievement while earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Rowan University.

     Blue Thistle Studio and Blue Thistle Paperie greeting cards are sold in select retail and specialty shops in the Berkshires and at area craft fairs.  They can also be purchased on Etsy.com under the shop name Blue Thistle Paperie.
